why manga?

It's called manga dialog ... well, one reason is the story of how it got started, but now it has become a place for all sorts of stuff I'm thinking about ... what I kind of like is that, as I'm told, in Japan there are manga on every possible subject. It's like you can get a whole education from them. Just some I've seen: philosophy, food, mythical stories, archaeology. (This is not to say I'm not a pop culture fanatic.)
