letter to the president

Things I want the president to know about me:

I support raising the gas tax. I oppose toll roads in general, but want more information on the subject, since they might make sense in some instances.
I support President Obama's spending and taxation plans. They sound excellent, in part because they sound well considered, and in part because I think government for the people is a good thing.
I completely oppose any expansion of the use of coal for energy and completely support any possible reductions and limits on its use.
I strongly support the goal of an 80% reduction of energy use and believe it should be pursued vigorously with a very near term time target. Vigorous planning to minimize disruptive effects of such a program are clearly part of the equation. I believe that can be done. As long as the plan is balanced in that way, I will eagerly support any such effort.
